My Academic Profile

Hi ! I am Shuvan Prashant.

Welcome to my  Academic profile webpage

About
I am a post-doctoral researcher now working in the field of Diamond Photonics. I did my PhD in the field of metamaterials and terahertz spectroscopy.
I am presently working under the supervision of AP Andrew Bettiol

Experimental Setups : I have first hand knowledge of setting up a laser writing setup, terahertz spectroscopy and imaging system. I also previously involved in setting up of different ultrafast spectroscopies such as pump probe, degenerate four wave mixing and z-scan.

Teaching Experience :
As part of my graduate studentship, I had the opportunity to guide students from ESP, NUS for their third year design project where they learn the basic skills of microscopy and design and characterization of microfluidic chips. Their main learning outcomes were to understand how to effectively do research on a subject, come up with a strategy, collaborate with a fabrication team, characterize the samples and measure the performance of their chips.

I also was involved in mentoring final year projects of undergraduates from different schools/faculties working within our lab.
